I was born in Eldon and raised in South Pinette. I attended South Pinette School, Belfast Consolidated and Montague High School and graduated from Harry Ainlay High School in Edmonton, AB. I went on to earn a business degree from Casco Bay College in Portland, Maine. I have a background in interior design, construction and renovation. For the past three years, my career has been as the administrator at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon, which employs over 100 employees in our community.
I have lived and traveled within Canada and abroad, including Alberta, Maine, Abu Dhabi, UAE and Jakarta, Indonesia. This gives me a unique perspective on life on PEI and in my own district. I have two grown children, Katie and Glen, and now live on my family's homestead on the Ponds Road in South Pinette.
I currently serve on the board of the Belfast Development Corporation that oversees Belfast Highland Greens Golf Course and the Lord Selkirk Campground & Belfast pool. I serve on the board for the Belfast Recreation Center and am a founding member of the Belfast Curling Club. I am also an active member of St. John's Presbyterian Church.
My family has been involved with the Progressive Conservative Party for generations. I have been a party volunteer since the early 80's and have remained very active in the party.
