Brian Ramsay seeks PC nomination in Summerside-Wilmot
Summerside – Summerside businessman Brian Ramsay has declared his intention to seek the Progressive Conservative nomination in District 21, Summerside-Wilmot.
“I care about our community and want to help make it a better place. That is why I ran in last year’s provincial election and why I am seeking the nomination today following the surprise resignation of MLA Janice Sherry,” said Ramsay.
A graduate of Acadia University, Ramsay has been an owner and operator of local small businesses for many years. Active in his community, Ramsay has volunteered with Summerside Y's Men's Club, the Harbourfront Theatre, Downtown Summerside Inc., the Summerside Chamber of Commerce, the Summerside Lobster Festival, College of Piping, Western Capitals Booster Club, and others. Ramsay is currently employed with Township Chevrolet in Summerside as a Product Specialist.
Ramsay stood as the Progressive Conservative candidate for Summerside-Wilmot in last year’s provincial election where he was narrowly defeated by then-cabinet minister Janice Sherry by 30 votes.
Ramsay and his wife Sonya have one adult daughter, Jillian.
