Elections PEI Boundaries Commission Public Meetings

The PEI Electoral Boundaries Commission is in the process of creating an 18 electoral district map of PEI to provide Islanders some insight into what the electoral districts would look like under the Mixed-Member Proportional (MMP) electoral system.

To assist them in the task, they are holding 5 public meetings and will be asking for Islanders input in the design of the 18 districts.

People interested in making an oral presentation, can make an appointment to appear at an upcoming meeting or send in a written submission.  This can be completed at the website address https://www.electoralboundaries.pe.ca/submissions-1

Here is a list of dates, times and locations of all 5 public meetings. Please note, the Feb 15th and Feb 28th meetings will have translation services available on-site.

Monday Feb 5th, Riverhouse Inn, 33 Brook St Montague, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday Feb 8th, Holland College Ch'town (MacKinnon Lecture Theatre, ) 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Wednesday, Feb 28th, Westisle Composite High, 39570 Western Rd, Elmsdale, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

This is not a debate or public education on one electoral system over another, but merely a time for public input as to where Islanders think the boundary lines should lay for an 18 district map of PEI.
