Fox new Interim Leader and Opposition LeaderCHARLOTTETOWN - Borden-Kinkora MLA Jamie Fox is the new Interim Leader of the Progressive Conservative party of Prince Edward Island and Leader of The Official Opposition.
Fox was selected as Interim Leader of the party following a vote of the provincial party executive and the Opposition Caucus held Thursday evening. As Interim Leader of the party Fox will also serve as Leader of the Opposition.
“I am honoured and humbled by the confidence and support of both the party and my Caucus colleagues as I take on this new role,” said Fox. “I look forward to working on behalf of all Islanders as Opposition Leader. Our Caucus will work together to hold government accountable and help build and grow our party across the Island.”
Fox said that work will begin right away with the party’s Annual General Meeting being held later this month and the fall sitting of the Legislature early next month.

Jamie Fox Biography
Jamie Fox was born, raised and educated in Woodstock, New Brunswick and served in the Canadian military as a 89th Field Battery Artillery Regiment.
After service in the military and a career in local law enforcement, Jamie Fox was an entrepreneur who owned and operated small businesses in both Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
Fox worked in law enforcement for many years and served as Police Chief for Borden-Carleton.
Fox has been involved in various local community groups over the years including the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Elected in May of 2015 as the Member for Borden-Kinkora, Fox is the Shadow Critic for Transportation, Infrastructure, and Energy, and Justice and Public Safety. Fox serves on the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries and the Standing Committee on Infrastructure and Energy.
Fox resides in North Carleton with his wife Deborah and together they are the proud parents of three sons Johnathan, Joey and Jacob. Jamie and Debbie are also the proud grandparents of Violet.
